Palo Duro Canyon
The second largest canyon in the USA, Palo Duro Canyon is also known as the “Grand Canon of Texas”. The canyon was named by Spanish settlers and the name literally means, “hard stick” although the looser translation of “hard wood” is generally accepted. This incredibly scenic and historic Texas State Park is a photographer’s paradise, any time of year.
